Exchange between Rwandan Federation and Indian Federation of Pueri Cantores

Today on 11th September 2021, the Secretary of Rwandan Federation of Pueri Cantores (Emmanuel Biracyaza) held a meeting with the President of the Indian Federation of Pueri Cantores (Mr. Joseph Cordo) for exchanging about the development of Pueri Cantores based on the mission of the organization. In this online meeting they firstly discussed about the effects of COVID-19 on day-to-day development of young people and Pueri Cantores where they found that the pandemic had an impact on psychosocial well-being of child, child education and preformation, spiritual life of child, and their overall life. They focused on child abuse where there is a need for the community, Pueri Cantores, today to focus on delivering messages that reduce violence against child especially sexual violence that is increasing day-to-day. The contribution of Pueri Cantores to child development and upbringing of the child needs to be prioritised. In order to promote a culture of peace and love for the people of the world, they discussed how countries could organize a concert or festival to teach the message of God. This is the 17th annual Festival of Sacred and Religious Music in Mumbai, India. God is at the Center of our endeavor. They also said that they would teach each other, pray for each other and help each other. India in particular has agreed to help the Rwandan federation make Pueri Cantores better and more prosperous music. The President of Indian federation said, "We are called to be light in darkness." Both leaders also exchanged about the God’s love upon Rwandans and Indians. Because we are in a difficult situation due to COVID-19, Indian organized the Virtual Festival of Christmas and it invites Rwandan federation to attend it virtually. So, in the next meeting both federations will plan how the festival may be done virtually and successfully. They are planning to include other countries such as Canada and Mexico so that they will see together how they can work more closely, especially in organizing the festival. In conclusion, the say “Let’s work together to uniting all people of the world… under the Kingship of Jesus!” Theme of the festival is “Be love”.
